What is Constructx BayColumn510?

Constructx BayColumn510 is 2 pieces of 8mm AcrylPanel made to function as columns for holding drive bay devices. Originally found in our acrylic casings, these BayColumns510 have been updated to fit 10x 5.25" (or 3.5") devices.

Where can I use the Constructx BayColumn510?
Use them to build your own custom casings or to replace your casing's drive columns. For the pro-modders, you can also cut them down to size (8 bays, 5 bays...) for your projects. They are built from 8mm acrylpanels to be strong enough to carry the weight of the devices as well as be used as "structural pillars" in your customs.

M3 Screw threads
Each BayColumn has M3 screw threads (2 on the top and 2 bottom) so you can easily screw them into a top and/or bottom panel or into your custom casing.

The BayColumn510 can be used as it is too... no casing, just a tower of drives standing tall - not everyone's cup of tea but there's no rules against it.

And since the Constructx BayColumn510 was originally born out of the Acrylic Casing, you can use them to upgrade your acrylic casing to a FullBay Tower.

For 3.5" or 5.25"?? BOTH
a) 5.25" : 10 bay
- you can easily cut them to size (see pic on the left, 1st from the top
b) 3.5" : 10 bay - using standoffs (sold separately ACR-CX31526) you can install 3.5" devices in a 5.25" bay (see pic on the left, 2nd from top), this way you can also mix 5.25" and 3.5" devices.
c) 3.5" : 10 bay - fix the 2 bays at a distance equal to the width of your 3.5" bay and you can simply install 3.5" devices eg. harddisk (see pic on the left, 3rd from the top)

Planning your project
You can download the BayColumn510's drawing here. Print it out, use it to drill mounting holes. Or use it to make cardboard mock-up models.
